That Azzurro Dino and Azzurro La Plata will be protagonists of the next Miami Grand Prix in the drivers’ livery and suits Ferrari it’s no longer a secret. In fact, for days the Scuderia di Maranello has been fueling the curiosity and anticipation of the fans with small details that accompany the approach to the American Formula 1 GP. Alongside the commitment on the track, the Cavallino will also have an important road event with the Ferrari Cavalcade International, an event much awaited by owners of Modena supercars from overseas. Two special examples of Ferrari 296 GTS will also take part in the initiative, embellished with the Azzurro Dino and La Plata liveries, chosen in the presence of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc.

The two special Ferraris for the Cavalcade

In several videos released on social media, the two sedans with sunroof were followed along their production path inside the Maranello factory, with a moment of comparison on liveries and on the design which also involved the Director of the Style Center Flavio Manzoni and the two Ferrari drivers, Sainz and Leclerc. A final post then also appeared, in which the two examples of 296 GTS were photographed from above, ready to make their dynamic debut in the American Cavalcade. The two historic liveries, with colors that are linked to the Cavallino’s past in motorsport, are embellished with some details in white and red, with specific bands and are equipped with the Assetto Fiorano, a specific kit that further enhances the sporting aspects of the cars of the Cavallino. As regards the interior of the two cars, we find white interiors for the 296 GTS in Dino color and red for the one in Azzurro La Plata.

From the track to the road

Possible that for the livery of the SF-24 a mix of these two colors is chosen, further embellishing the Cavallino single-seater. The two special colors have already been chosen by several drivers who have made the history of the Scuderia di Maranello, from Ascari to Surtees, passing through Merzario and Regazzoni. The Ferrari 296 GTS is the sunroof version of the berlinetta with the electrified six-cylinder from Maranello, with a plug-in hybrid configuration that gives a total power of 830 HP with a rear mid-engine layout capable of giving engaging performance and sound . The 2.9 turbo six-cylinder thus delivers 663 HP at 8,000 rpm combined with a 122 kW axial flow electric unit and a 7.45 kWh high voltage battery which guarantees a full electric range of 25 km. The overall power as mentioned is 830 HP and 740 Nm of maximum torque
