Massimo Morasso’s book “Fragments of noble things” triumphs

The second edition of the Flaiano Poetry Awards saw the triumph of Massimo Morasso’s book, “Frammenti di nobili cose” (Passigli Editori, 2023), after counting the 50 votes of a jury of readers. Daniele Gorret came in second place with the book Reliquie (Giulio Einaudi editore, 2023), while Tiziano Broggiato came in third place with the book Sorvoli (Luigi Pellegrini Editore, 2023). The ceremony took place on the evening of Saturday 22 June, in Piazzale Michelucci of the Aurum, which welcomed a large audience together with the six finalists selected by the technical jury.

For the Poetry under 30 section, however, another popular jury also made up of 50 members, male and female students of the “G. d’Annunzio” Chieti-Pescara, has declared the overall winner of the Gabriele Guzzi section for his book “A face from a void” (Italic peQuod, 2023).

98 books arrived this year in competition at the second edition of the Flaiano Poetry Awards, with 50 participating publishing houses. The Technical Jury is chaired by Roberto Mussapi and composed of Luigi Colagreco, Anna Dolfi, Gianfranco Lauretano, Giancarlo Pontiggia, Loretto Rafanelli and Davide Rondoni.

The Flaiano Poetry Awards are promoted and organized by the Flaiano International Awards and the Center for Poetry and Other Languages, in partnership with the Pescarabruzzo Foundation, the main sponsors are Toto Holding and Bper.
