Rosa Carbone has published her first book “I want to live green” – MinervinoLive.it

The doctor Charcoal Rosea native of Minervino, born in 1989, graduated in biological sciences and nutritional sciences from the University of Bari, has been practicing as a nutritional biologist for more than ten years.
Precocious in terms of her passion for writing (she has been writing since the age of 8, especially poems and short stories), she has achieved considerable rewards which have seen her worthy of being awarded study support.
In concert, her noble and sensitive soul has always seen her inclined to love art in all its expressions as well as towards nature and to nourish a religious respect for the environment.
When asked why this publication was made, the author clarified her thoughts with a serenity and sweetness, which clarified her nature: “I think that my “mission” is to act in science and conscience by transmitting, in my small way, messages of hope to those around me, dreaming of a future on this planet where every individual is committed to taking care of the environment and more than any other thing to respect it, starting from daily choices; even food ones”.
It follows that the objective of the writing is to be considered aimed at involvement and dissemination, in order to induce the reader to reflect as well as to consider and become aware of a more sustainable lifestyle, choosing a virtuous path that has as its starting point a different approach to food and a “design” to become that contemplates choices and actions to be carried out in everyday life, keeping in mind the vital importance that every single person has within a much larger and more complex ecosystem, from which it would be a crime to isolate oneself.
In the first two chapters, the author, with studies in hand, focuses on all the benefits deriving from a plant-based diet, debunking the most common myths relating to this type of nutrition and proposing, as an aid to the theory, two examples of seasonal menus.
In the central section it offers 50 vegetable recipes, created and tested by the same, ranging from purely traditional Italian ones, with personal reinterpretation, to international ones.
In the third segment, attention is highlighted on everything relating to the theme of “environmental sustainability”, from tips for the home, to anti-waste tips, to separate waste collection, up to creative tips and self-production within everyone’s reach.
