After the release of a video showing a soldier riddled with bullets, the Ukrainians are once again accusing Moscow of war crimes. His sister identified him

More war crimes that Ukraine asks the International Criminal Court to investigate. The latest case is a Ukrainian soldier riddled by a barrage of bullets while unarmed.

In a video released online by the Kiev media, a man in uniform is seen smoking a cigarette. He then his last words before being hit by a series of blows: “Slava Ukraini”, glory to Ukraine. In the video, a group of Russian soldiers is seen shooting an unarmed Ukrainian prisoner in cold blood. Today’s news about the war in Ukraine, live

At the moment it is not yet clear where and when the video in which the Kiev soldier is killed was shot. But the images bouncing around on social media are chilling. And they show the umpteenth inhuman gesture of a war that has now gone on for more than a year. Yet another “war crime disguised by propaganda and myths about the Nazis”, remarked Andriy Yermak, head of cabinet of Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, referring to the intention of “denazifying” Ukraine by Vladimir Putin’s Russia. First on Telegram and then on his Twitter profile, Yermak condemned the incident and warned the Russian armed forces: «It is an example of their national insignificance and weakness. Every war crime will be punished. No one will dodge justice. We will find them all », he writes on the social network. And within minutes he’s back to tweeting. Only two words: «Slava Ukraini!».

Dmytro Kuleba, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister, goes even further in his condemnation, defining the cold-blooded murder of the Kiev soldier as “the umpteenth proof that this war is genocide”. Kuleba specifies that “it is imperative that the prosecutor of the International Criminal Court Karim Khan launches an immediate investigation into this atrocious war crime”. “The guilty are brought to justice,” Zelensky’s head of diplomacy asked again.

In the morning the name of the soldier was then released. His name was Tymofiy Shadura, he was 40 years old and served with the 30th separate mechanized brigade. Ed had been a prisoner of war since early February and had been captured at Vuhledar in the Donetsk region. The man was recognized by his sister who said: ‘My brother is certainly capable of resisting the Russians like that. He never hid the truth in his life and he certainly wouldn’t do it in front of the enemy. . And a portrait of him was circulated on the net ».

In July, footage circulated that appeared to show a Russian soldier castrating and subsequently killing a Ukrainian prisoner. The United Nations Human Rights Monitoring Mission at the time said it was shocked by the footage.
