AGI – Two 13 year old teenagers They were indicted for rape of a 12 year old girl with the aggravating circumstance of anti-Semitic insults. It happened in Courbevoie, in the Department of Hauts-de-Seine, in the Paris region. The judge ordered the two 13-year-old teenagers to be placed in precautionary custody: one was locked up in Nanterre prison, the other in Porcheville prison, in Yvelines. A third defendant, aged 12, was the subject of a judicial educational measure, accused of anti-Semitic insults and violence and of death threats, but not rape. He was allowed to return home. The events took place on Saturday evening.
Police were contacted by a young girl who was crying and shaking and said she had been victim of a gang rape. The young victim explained to the police that, in agreement with her parents, she had gone to her house in the afternoon to meet a friend. On the street she met two young men who forced her to reach a abandoned warehouse. Soon after, another teenager joined the two. The girl was allegedly beaten, raped and insulted for her Jewish religion. One of her teenagers asked her questions about Israel, insulting her as a “dirty Jew.” The third teenager would have filmed the scene. The attackers were identified thanks to the victim’s friend.
The prosecutor’s office said in a statement that the accused boys “they regretted their action”The incident sparked nationwide outrage. President Emmanuel Macron condemned the “scourge” of anti-Semitism. The fact also entered the electoral campaign of the elections at the end of the month and caused controversy between the political groups.
