“Make Europe Great Again“. The motto of Donald Trump it was borrowed from the Hungarian president Viktor Orban. And the message can be read clearly in logo which inaugurates the turn of presidency European Union in Budapest which will officially start from first of July with a deadline set at December 31, 2024. A presidency that certainly comes in a moment very delicate for the community institutions, involved in the appointments of the vertices Europeans and then the members of the future Commission.

The launch of Orban’s presidency program took place in Budapest but it will be replicated, in the next few days, at Brussels. And the chosen logo refers to Rubik’s cubethe famous architect born in the Hungarian capital in 1944. The program, however – despite the transition period that will mark the Hungarian semester – promises to be thick. “Hungary takes over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union at a time of circumstances And challenges extraordinary”, we read in the introduction. “Our continent is facing common challenges due to war in our neighbourhood, the EU is increasingly in delay compared to its global competitors.” And then some of the fragilities of the EU are listed (seen from Budapest): “La migration illegalthe vulnerability of international sourcing, the catastrophes natural, the effects of climate change and the impact of trends demographics“. Furthermore, among the priorities of the Orban government there are also the strengthening of European defense it’s a agricultural policy oriented towards farmers”.
