Remembered by all as Doctor Strangelove Grey’s Anatomythe accomplished American actor will become part of the legendary story of Dexter Morgan with a regular role in the prequel series from Paramount+ and Showtime Dexter: Original Sin.

Written by the showrunner of Dexter Clyde Phillips, Dexter: Original Sin is set in 1991 Miami, 15 years before audiences first met Dexter, and follows Dexter as he goes from student to avenging serial killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can no longer be ignored, Dexter (now played by the star of Darkness and bones Patrick Gibson) must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Christian Slater, Mr. Robot), adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without coming under the radar of law enforcement. This is a particular challenge that young Dexter faces as he begins a forensic internship at the Miami Police Department.
