It’s all true: Giorgia Soleri and Damiano David broke up. The influencer herself confirmed this today, breaking the silence on the social affair that put the couple – now in the headlines – in serious embarrassment. Yesterday 8 June a video was leaked in which the frontman of the Maneskins passionately kissing another girl in a Formentera club. Damiano’s admission was inevitable, but he had explained that that episode did not constitute any betrayal, because “Giorgia and I have already broken up for a few days”. A version confirmed today by the interested party, who while not denying that she now feels “angry, hurt and disappointed” reveals that the day on which the official announcement of the end of their relationship should have arrived was today, Friday 9 June. In a series of stories on Instagram, however, Soleri asks for “respect” for himself and for Damiano himself, in a delicate situation, because “we are not hardcovers, but flesh and blood, feelings and fear”.

Giorgia Soleri’s premise concerns the type of relationships that can exist between people, and the different modality from the predominant one on which she and Damiano had immediately set theirs. «She Was, by mutual agreement and in a completely consensual way, not monogamous», explains the influencer. “I realize that for some it may be complex to understand, but the fact that there has been any kind of interaction with other people is not the core of the problem.” The reference is precisely to the passionate kiss of Formentera between Damiano and “the other”, later identified in the model Martina Taglienti, for some time in the circle of the “company” of the Maneskin. But certainly the timing and ways in which the news became public hurt Soleri. Who explains: «To protect ourselves in this delicate moment made up of enormous changes, I had explicitly asked to have a little discretion in our public lives, at least until the day when (to avoid articles after articles of assumptions and insinuations) we communicated not to to be more of a couple, which had to happen today. It didn’t go like this, and the problem arises from this ».

Our relationships are infinite and complex universes, and judging them from the outside is impossible. I’m sorry to see how for many it is instead incredibly easy and fast, when people in the spotlight live it». This is the reason for the appeal to respect the trajectories and sufferings of the people involved, “and of this love that was very strong, intense and profound”.
