Bitter afternoon for Napoli who drew against Roma: Calzona’s words after the match.
Nothing to do for the Naples against the Rome. The Azzurri leave with just one point at home against Daniele De Rossi’s Roma. It all happened in the second half with Roma taking the lead thanks to Dybala’s penalty. Napoli’s reaction was immediate with Mathias Olivera and a fortuitous deflection that fooled Svilar. The Azzurri took the lead again with Osimhen, but Abraham equalized in the final.
With the draw achieved today in Fuorigrotta, Napoli definitively says goodbye to their Champions League dream. The performance of Calzona’s men, however, was positive compared to the last outings. The Azzurri, however, paid for the many wasted opportunities in both halves of the game.

Francesco Calzona spoke to Sky Sport after the match. The coach said he was satisfied with the Azzurri’s performance, but also explained that there were some defensive errors that complicated the match.

“Because we sinned on two episodes. We knew Roma’s strength when it comes to dead balls. Ostigard’s entry was to make up for this situation. I do not know what to say. The only thing is that I can be happy with the performance. I’m happy, but only about this.”

The match was in the 90th minute. I removed a boy who had taken over, but he doesn’t have physicality and I needed this. I did it and it wasn’t enough.”

“This is the season. The boys feel the weight of the situation and I have the duty to make him train well and make him play football. We defended well against a team that scored a lot with De Rossi on the bench. I’m happy with the offensive phase, and by playing like this you lose very few games.”
