Who is Wednesday’s new stalker? Every chance for season two

WARNING! This article contains SPOILERS for Season 1 on Wednesday! Wednesday’s season 1 finale reveals that Wednesday Addams has a mysterious stalker, who creates a significant villain for season 2. As Wednesday leaves Nevermore Academy for a break, she receives text messages from an unknown contact on her brand new cell phone . The threatening messages include images of Wednesday having coffee with Tyler on her birthday and Xavier handing her his cell phone just moments before. After a text saying “I’m watching you” and a GIF of a knife stabbing Wednesday, the title character of Tim Burton’s show Addams Family acknowledges that he has her “very first stalker” of hers.

Wednesday doesn’t reveal any details about the stalker’s identity, but the circumstances behind the unknown figure’s texts mean that some characters may be left out of suspicion. Since Tyler was shackled by the authorities while getting the texts on Wednesday, it’s safe to say that he’s not his stalker. Also, Xavier is in one of the photographs, indicating it can’t be him. Since Xavier and Wednesday’s photo was taken inside Nevermore Academy, the stalker is likely a parent, teacher, or outcast student. However, the stalker may still be a regular who came to Nevermore as students were leaving school. Here are all the possibilities for the stalker in Wednesday season 2.

Sheriff Galpin

While Sheriff Galpin may leave town after Tyler is revealed to be Hyde’s murderous monster, he’ll probably stick around in Jericho to keep tabs on the outcasts. Galpin may blame 16-year-old Wednesday Addams for many of the tragedies that took place during Wednesday’s first season, which he would explain why she allegedly threatened and “observed” her after Tyler’s arrest. While Sheriff Galpin was last seen in Wednesday’s season 1 finale carrying the human Tyler out of the woods and likely having him arrested, Galpin could still threaten Wednesday to keep her quiet about her findings regarding Jericho and Jericho’s mother. Tyler.

Wednesday and Sheriff Galpin’s enmity makes him a likely suspect, but there’s still plenty of room to doubt that he’s the stalker. Galpin was not in the cafeteria at the time Wednesday and Tyler’s photo was taken, as he entered moments later. It’s also not clear why he would be at Nevermore Academy while the students are transferring. However, Sheriff Galpin may have an accomplice in Wednesday season 2, as he has personal reasons to get his revenge on Jenna Ortega and the outcasts Wednesday.

Luke Walker

While Lucas has become friends with Bianca Barclay, who was once Wednesday’s nemesis at Nevermore Academy, he seems to have no more revenge against Nevermore. After getting in trouble for spraying red paint on all the outcasts during Wednesday’s season 1 Rave’N dance, he seemed to move on and want to make amends between the normals and the outcasts. In fact, Lucas Walker was the one who helped Wednesday realize that Laurel Gates was still alive and in Jericho, as it was revealed that Laurel was responsible for murdering Lucas’ father. Lucas may have been helpful late in Wednesday’s season opener, but that doesn’t mean he has forgiven Wednesday Addams.

Lucas and Wednesday were often at odds during Wednesday’s first season, with Netflix’s Addams Family character even hitting him twice. Lucas could still blame Wednesday for ruining the Crackstone statue, disrespecting the town’s Pilgrims obsession, and playing a small role in Mayor Walker’s murder over the Addamses’ feud with the Gates family. If so, Lucas could take his revenge on Wednesday by stalking and threatening her so that she would stop messing with Jericho. Lucas could have been at the Weathervane while Wednesday and Tyler had coffee and possibly even in Nevermore to help Bianca move in, so he’s still a suspect for Wednesday’s season 2 stalker.

Vincent Thorpe

Though he never appears in Wednesday’s first season, Tim Burton’s horror-comedy makes frequent references to Xavier’s famous father, Vincent Thorpe. Wednesday indicates the celebrity psychic is a poor father to Xavier, as he doesn’t attend Parents’ Weekend and only sends Xavier to therapy to avoid a PR problem. It’s been suggested that something more nefarious lies in Vincent’s notoriety and his effect on Xavier’s darkness, which could end up tying into Wednesday’s season 1 murder mystery. Xavier has a strange psychic connection to Tyler’s monster Hyde, which could also be traced to something Vincent did as a student at Nevermore Academy. If so, Vincent could threaten Wednesday to stop investigating the school’s background.

Since Xavier likely wouldn’t have bought a cell phone on Wednesday without his father knowing, Vincent may be one of the few people to actually have Wednesday’s phone number. Also, since Vincent had to keep tabs on Xavier to avoid exposure in the tabloids, he probably knows about Xavier’s interest in Jenna Ortega’s Wednesdays and the fact that she wrongfully had Xavier arrested. Vincent may threaten Wednesday to stay away from his son, with his potential stalker identity more dangerous due to his wealth, power and past ties to the Addams Family. Even though Vincent isn’t connected to the stalker, he’s prone to play a sinister role in Wednesday’s second season.

Yoko Tanaka

While Wednesday season 1 gives no reason why vampire Yoko Tanaka allegedly stalked and threatened Wednesday Addams, she’s still suspicious considering little to nothing is known about her. Yoko is frequently mentioned by Enid, with Wednesday’s werewolf roommate even briefly moving into Yoko’s room. However, it’s unclear how Yoko feels about Wednesday or the truth behind her connection to the Netflix original show’s 2022 murder mystery, so she may be threatening Wednesday for an unknown reason. Yoko could also reasonably have been at the Weathervane when Wednesday had coffee with Tyler, and it was confirmed that she was at Nevermore when Wednesday got her phone.

Vlad coach

Another Nevermore Academy figure who is suspicious due to their mysterious past is Coach Vlad, the marginalized school’s fencing instructor. It’s unclear what species Vlad is, and he nearly stops Bianca from evacuating the school when Joseph Crackstone attacks Nevermore in Wednesday’s season 1 finale. While Vlad would probably prefer Wednesday Addams due to his fencing skills, not enough is known about the Nevermore Academy coach to clear him of being the stalker.

Connie Jorgensen

Though she’s only seen briefly in Wednesday’s first season, Connie Jorgensen’s character appears to have stranger connections to outcasts than Netflix’s Addams Family show lets on. The owner of Uriah’s Heap, Connie appears when Ajax and Enid are working at the antique shop during awareness day. The character wears clothing inconsistent with Jericho’s norms, is protective of the shop’s padded roadkill, brews a mystery tea with mushrooms, and forbids Enid and Ajax from taking coffee breaks. Thing later purchases the black dress she Wednesday wears at Rave’N from Connie, hinting that she has ties to Nevermore Academy. It’s unclear why she would stalk Wednesday’s title character, but Jericho’s norm is still under suspicion.
