The phenomenon of cars set on fire during the night in Lugo does not subside. Last night, around 3, a new act of arson took place in via Marescotti, more or less in the same area of ​​the historic center where the other cars had been set on fire. This time, a Fiat 500, a Volkswagen T-Roc and a commercial van caught fire. All the vehicles were completely destroyed in the blaze.

Alerted by the residents, the firefighters rushed to the scene with a team and fire from Lugo, who put out the flames by limiting the fire, so as not to involve further vehicles. The Carabinieri of Lugo are also present on site and are viewing the footage from the video surveillance cameras in the area to try to stop the arsonist who for a month now has been making the residents of the area live in fear of seeing their car destroyed within a day. to the other.

Even in this fifth case, in fact, the modus operandi of the perpetrator of the gesture is the same as the other episodes: the last one on 19 June in Piazzale Tiziano, the previous one in via Macello Vecchio, immediately before that in via Giaccari and again in Piazzale Tiziano. All streets within a short distance of each other, in the eastern area of ​​the historic center of Lugo. In recent days the Prefecture had explained that the surveillance and control services and the information-investigative activity would be intensified.
