He was discovered by Franco Battiato and then became one of the most loved and appreciated artists in Italian singer-songwriter music: Giovanni Caccamo will be the protagonist of the third appointment with the summer program of the Baracchi Foundation.

The evening, entitled “Parola Tour Acoustic”, is scheduled for Wednesday 3 July, at 9 pm, in the large garden of via Bosco di Casina, in Bibbiena, at the headquarters of the Foundation.

During the musical meeting, conducted by journalist Massimo Orlandi, Caccamo will present on the piano some of the pearls of his repertoire, and not only that. The musical proposals will also alternate with stories about his artistic journey, his encounters, his artistic and human discoveries: Caccamo has great sensitivity, but in addition to being profound, he also manages to be extraordinarily ironic.

During the evening, the Sicilian artist will also present the results of a great work dedicated to the future and change, in which he involved 60 famous and less famous young people, and whose Manifesto “Manifesto of change – Word to the young” published by Treccani, had a preface by Pope Francis.

In the last year Caccamo expands his latest project “Word to young people” also abroad: on 8 April, in New York, at the General Assembly of the United Nations, on the occasion of the international youth forum, he presented to over 5000 young people from 142 countries, Youth and future, a competition of ideas aimed at young people from all over the world.

Giovanni Caccamo was born in Modica (Ragusa) in 1990. After a significant apprenticeship, his career began to take off in 2012 thanks also to the meeting with Franco Battiato who was able to recognize and enhance his talent.

In 2015 he won the Sanremo Festival in the New Proposals category, and in 2016 he came third among the Big.

Author of music for artists such as Elisa, Malika Ayane, Emma Marrone, Francesca Michielin, he has collaborated with artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Patti Smith, Lang Lang, Antony and the Johnsons. He has five albums to his credit.
