Nicolas Vaporidis is getting married. Nothing is known about his future bride except her name, Ali Rinaldo. The girl has a closed Instagram profile and therefore even if you wanted to you can’t peek at her posts. The actor himself announced the wedding in an interview with Republic.
“I’m getting married in a few days,” Vaporidis said. “The wedding will be in two weeks. My future wife is called Ali. We’ve been together for a while. She’s half Italian and half English. I would like children, I’m ready. I prefer to keep the rest private,” he added, revealing a little secret about his future wife. In 2022, he had expressed all his love for Ali: “It’s a relationship that I’ve never had with others, I wasn’t capable of it before. Ali is one of those people who helped me become the most sincere version of myself, therefore more pleasant. When you meet a person who allows you to be yourself, valuing who you are, you have to hold on to them. And that’s what I’ll do with her,” we can say promise kept.
The relationship with former colleagues
His life underwent a major twist after Covid: he left Italy, moved to London and opened two restaurants there with a dear friend of his. “Covid was an accelerator that was perhaps already written. Even before the pandemic, my job had become just a job. Maybe I did too much. In short, I wasn’t happy anymore. Only the negative part of the job remained”, he told the newspaper about his acting career, “The very long waits between one film and another, the downtime, the fatigue. There was no longer that joy that I had felt at the beginning. So, after spending three months alone locked in my little attic in Monteverde during the lockdown, I understood that I had to leave. The pandemic put us against the wall, with a hand on our necks. And it told us: either you change or you die. I gave up everything and went to London”.
The early days of managing the restaurant were not easy: “It was hard, it was very tiring. But we believed in it and we grew. We work hard. Now there are three restaurants: two in London and one in Milan”.
For him, dealing with popularity after very successful films, such as “The Night Before the Exams”, “Come tu mi vuoi”, “Tutto l’amore del mondo”, was difficult: “For me it was an absurd thing. Mine is a normal family, my mother had a clothing store. And then I was shy, in reality I became an actor precisely to exorcise that shyness. Imagine when I was overwhelmed by the success of “The Night Before the Exams”. Open doors everywhere. Everyone wants you. Women, money. I lost my sense of reality. It was an artificial life. With artificial relationships. Many are around you only for opportunism. And then a race begins to see who has more, who does more things. I even did some stupid things”.
And speaking of relationships now with his former colleagues they are almost non-existent. The only one he has remained in contact with is “Eros Galbiati (Riccardo Alvicini in ‘Notte prima degli esami’). Who then became one of my best friends. With the others almost nothing”.
