IInstitutional meeting today at the Syracuse healthcare company between the general director of the same company, Alessandro Caltagirone, and the local authorities.
«The meeting focused on the situation of basic assistance in the Syracuse municipality and in particular the situation of the Territorial Emergency Unit (PTE), the emergency medical services to be strengthened especially in the summer period and the activation of specific services for children affected by autism spectrum syndrome.
«The ASP director confirmed the activation shortly of «a package of measures aimed at acting towards a plan to strengthen primary and emergency care, taking into account the situation that has repeatedly arisen due to a shortage of emergency medical personnel”.
The possibility of activating, possibly also in collaboration with the Centre, also emerged day center for autism in Noto, services for socio-recreational activities for children affected by autism, as they are «a necessity for the many families who in this area experience the need for spaces and activities dedicated to their children, who otherwise have no possibility of sociality”.
Gennuso once again expressed his thanks to the director Caltagirone «who since the first day of his appointment has demonstrated great ability to listen and attention to the needs of our territory and our communities».
