The Nola Prosecutor’s Office has opened a file on the death of the 70-year-old in San Vitaliano (Naples); an autopsy has been ordered, which will be held in the next few days.
The victim, Elisa Pacchiano, 77 years old
The Nola Prosecutor’s Office has opened a case for the death of Elisa Pacchiano, the 77-year-old hit and killed while cycling in San Vitaliano, in the province of Naples; The man driving the vehicle was registered in the register of suspects: he is a 70-year-old from Scisciano, the crime hypothesis is vehicular homicide. An autopsy has been ordered on the victim’s body and the police are investigating the incident. The accident dates back to the afternoon of last Monday, June 24th, at approximately 6pm.
Elisa Pacchiano, married with four children, from San Vitaliano, was on her bicycle at the Via Risorgimento roundabout when she was hit by the Nissan Note. The rescue efforts proved useless: the woman died from the serious injuries sustained in the impact. The carabinieri from the local station intervened on site, carried out the investigations and identified the driver of the car, the 70-year-old EB, from the nearby municipality of Scisciano. The documents were sent to the Nola Prosecutor’s Office; the proceedings, normally opened for episodes of this kind, are in the hands of the deputy prosecutor Patrizia Mucciacito.
The seventy-year-old was automatically included in the register of suspects and an autopsy was ordered on the body; the assignment of the task to the medical examiner Maurizio Saliva it should have taken place today, June 28, but in today’s hearing the deputy prosecutor decided to postpone it until next week to acquire, in the meantime, other documentation and proceed with further preliminary investigations.

The medical examiner will also participate in the operations Luca Scognamiglio, appointed as defense technical consultant by Studio3a-Valore Spa; the victim’s family members turned to the company, specialized in compensation for damages, through the consultant for Campania Vincenzo Carotenutowho will avail himself of the collaboration of the lawyer Vincenzo Cortellessa of the Forum of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
