Fire in Casteldaccia, two tractors parked inside a garage catch fire

Two tractors engulfed in flames in Casteldaccia. Firefighters intervened Wednesday morning to put out the blaze that broke out in the garage of a three-story building located on Via Messina, in the town center in the province of Palermo. Once the extinguishing operations were completed, 115 personnel carried out an inspection to clarify the causes of the fire. Carabinieri patrols were also on site.

The owner of the tractors that were destroyed, according to what was later reconstructed, had returned home a few minutes ago and had parked an agricultural machine used on land that same morning in the garage. The time to close the door and, perhaps due to an electrical problem, the flames started and spread towards another vehicle and damaged the entrance.

Firefighters, who arrived with three teams, struggled for more than an hour to put out the fire before inspecting the two tractors and the garage to establish the extent of the damage. After excluding the worst, the staff of the provincial command sent a communication to the technical office of the Municipality of Casteldaccia for any interventions within its competence.

And a similar episode occurred last week in Brancaccio, in vicolo Chiazzese, where some garages located at number 13 went up in flames. Inside those sheet metal warehouses there were various materials, furniture and other personal effects. The police officers who acquired the images taken by some cameras are investigating the episode to reconstruct what happened and clarify whether it was an accident.
