Art director of Boffi, Piero Lissoni was awarded the prestigious Compasso D’Oro Lifetime Achievement Award by the ADI Foundation
Il CEO and President of the Boffi|DePadova Group, Roberto Gavazziannounces that also Boffi art director Piero Lissonireceived the Compasso d’Oro for Lifetime Achievement from the prestigious ADI foundation. “A career marked by modernism, a path made of cohesion and methodable to offer reassuring and measured looks combined with an emotional poetics”, we read in the official note released by the ADI Foundation. “A path that has been able to explore and combine different design disciplines, giving us the idea of the unity of creative action”. The partnership that began 35 years ago therefore continues, when Roberto Gavazzi took over the reins of Boffi, giving it an industrial vocation and an ambitious vision. Lissoni’s creative intuition contributed to nourishing and increasing this new way of understanding and designing Boffi’s architectural systems. Two parallel careers, those of Gavazzi and Lissoniclosely linked by a visionary and enterprising spirit, both now culminating with the Compasso d’Oro award, the most authoritative in the world for the design sector.
The Nineties kitchen presented to Milano Design Week 2024conceived and created by Piero Lissoni to celebrate Boffi’s 90th anniversary, it is the concrete proof of this avant-garde vision, outlined by a project research aimed at formal rigor, combined with an aesthetic identity recognizable in the panorama of contemporary design.
