PISA

“Impossible is nothing”. These are the first words of the new director of Pisa Sporting Club, as he left the headquarters of the Nerazzurri club, after greeting the staff on his first day. Yesterday, in fact, the new director of the Pisan club, now freed from his contract with Modena, spent the day in the city. Arriving during the morning, accompanied by the secretary Bruno Sabatini, he had the opportunity to settle in, after having already started working, albeit behind the scenes, for some time. The contract was officially signed yesterday, after the agreements made last week. His two-year contract was confirmed until June 30, 2026. The official announcement from the Nerazzurri club will be this morning, with a press release. In the meantime, the Nerazzurri club is currently finalizing its first transfer market operation. According to what has been learned, Samuel Ballet, a 23-year-old Swiss midfielder and striker from Como, of Cameroonian origins, is on his way. A player with untapped potential, he was sold by Young Boys to Winterthur, with whom he played the first part of last season, taking the field 17 times and scoring 5 goals, before moving to Como for 1.8 million euros, playing 3 appearances in the second part of the Cadet tournament. We are talking about a right winger, powerful and fast with sprint and dribbling. The operation, as anticipated on the La Nazione website yesterday morning, is on loan with the right to redeem. The final figures are still to be defined, for which the two clubs are working. Como, taking him from FC Winterthur, signed a three and a half year contract. In the meantime, Pisa continues to work for Nicolas Viola, the 34 year old midfielder spotted in the city on Wednesday morning, intent on undergoing medical tests for sporting fitness, which could also be preparatory if he finds an agreement with the Nerazzur club. The San Rossore Sport Village center is in fact one of the few in Italy to be equipped for VO2max, an oxygen stress test. His presence in the city is more than a clue, however, since his contract expires on June 30 and negotiations with the Nerazzurri have been going on for at least a week, if not longer. Pisa’s pressure for Gianluca Lapadula also continues. The 34-year-old striker is not only being followed by the club in via Cesare Battisti, but also by Cesena, who are said to be very interested in snapping him up. Pisa’s desire to work in attack and assemble an even stronger squad for new coach Pippo Inzaghi remains strong, however, and will be made official in the coming days and presented together with Vaira. Pisa has also returned to the negotiating table with Monza for Valoti, but it will be very difficult to oust the competition from Cremonese. Finally, Pisa has published an addition to the program for the Bormio retreat, from July 14 to 28: “During the preparation period there will be free entry to the sports center. The detailed program of friendlies and activities will be communicated later, but the most important moments will be July 19-21 and July 26-28, during which we have special events in store for all the fans”.
