Nicolas Viola stays or goes? This is the question that Cagliari fans have been asking themselves in the last few hours, after the midfielder was spotted yesterday at the San Rossore clinic in Pisa for medical visits. The Tuscan club itself is strongly interested in the midfielder: Inzaghi would like him back after training him in Benevento.
But the attacking midfielder seems to have only carried out normal checks, nothing to do with visits linked to a possible signing by the Pisans. Viola awaits Cagliari and would be happy to extend his stay in Sardinia, but his contract expires on 30 June and no agreement on the renewal has yet been reached.
The 34-year-old is coming off a good season, especially from December onwards, in which he played 28 games and scored 6 goals, many of them decisive. In the meantime, Palermo, Cremonese and Salernitana are also carefully following the evolution of the situation. If an agreement with the island club does not arrive over the weekend, starting from July the player would be free to move to another club.
