A semblance of optimism returns to the Fermana household. After the end of the elections in Recanati, in which Gianfilippo Simoni was involved, the president’s son Umberto spoke again, reiterating what has been said for months: the priority is the registration of Fermana in Serie D. Adding however that this week an important meeting will be held, without revealing with whom. The conversation in question has as its main subject the acquisition of the club. In fact, on the other side of the table there would be some entrepreneurs who have shown interest in purchasing Fermana. They want to carefully analyze the situation of the yellow-blues, but the formal documents would only be taken if the team is regularly registered in Serie D. So any agreement would certainly arrive after 12 July, the last day to submit the application for registration for the top amateur championship, if everything goes well. To make this happen, you must pay the back wages from last season: as mentioned in recent weeks, you absolutely must pay the monthly wages for March, April and May of the federal contracts by the registration date. For the one in June there will be time until the end of August. There was talk of an advance payment, which was supposed to arrive as early as the second week of May, but all the difficulties in the case caused the timing to be postponed here too. That last remaining month will be a backlog that will be on the negotiating table with those interested in acquiring the club, along with another much bigger one, namely the restructuring of the two and a half million euro debt. The times allow nothing but to think about it after signing up for Serie D, which is the most urgent commitment today. The situation with the Revenue Agency and INPS remains stalled, and in all likelihood it will not be resolved before 12 July. Until a few weeks ago, according to what transpired from Viale Trento, everything seemed to be done for an unofficial closure of around 700 thousand euros, except for the INPS press release which denied everything. Meanwhile, the former Fermana players are starting to find accommodations for next season. Among the first is Pietro Santi, who was released after relegation like all his teammates. Picerno made his arrival official and he joined the team. Santi had arrived last summer at the court of the then yellow-blue coach Bruniera. 22 appearances for him this season in all competitions and a goal in the first leg against Juventus Next Gen. Santi had been the protagonist of a terrible first part of the season, only to then recover well. After Gasbarro’s departure at the end of December, he became an important part of the defense with both Protti and Mosconi. Yet another under valorized that the yellow-blues lose to zero.
