During the late afternoon of June 28, the Lime Festival gave viewers the opportunity to see, at the Ghirelli Theater, the short film “Medley”, which lasts about 12′ and is based only on dialogues. The short film talks about the complicated relationship between a boy and a girl through a phone call. The protagonist dives so deeply into all his memories and experiences so that the girl can accompany him hand in hand in a rather troubled introspective investigation because the boy is anxious about not being able to live in the present and not finding his place in the world. Furthermore, all the scores come from an original EP made by the director himself. Later, after watching the short film, a meeting was held with Mario Tedesco, writer, producer and director of the project, Giuseppe Catedulla, known in art as “Poppi”, and Lazzara Molinari, both of whom contributed to the making of the short film. Thanks to the presence of Sara Paolella, editor-in-chief of the culture and narrative sections for Scomodo, the meeting was animated by a series of questions that brought out the most intimate sides of Tedesco and his collaborators: in fact, according to the boys, music, the central element of the short, is a “cornerstone” of their life, “a form of inspiration through which to express one’s feelings” and vent what is difficult to externalize.
