Tomorrow, June 30th, starting at 9.30pm, Zucchero “Sugar” Fornaciari will bring his “Overdose D’Amore World Tour” to the Franco Scoglio Stadium in Messina.

The famous artist, who has always had a great love for Sicily, celebrates the 35th anniversary of his iconic song, “Overdose d’Amore”, in one of the most evocative stadiums on the island, renowned for hosting artists’ concerts every summer of national and international fame.

The event, curated by Puntoeacapo with the artistic direction of Nuccio La Ferlita, Friends & Partners and in collaboration with the Municipality of Messina led by Mayor Federico Basile, will be the only date in Southern Italy and promises to give strong emotions and overwhelming music.

Zucchero, with his exceptional band, will retrace the most salient moments of his career, offering the public an evening full of surprises and contagious energy. Radio Italia is the official radio of the Italian tour dates, while Frecciarossa is the official train of the stadium tour.

The celebration of the 35th anniversary of “Overdose d’Amore” also includes a new version of the song, “Overdose D’Amore 2024”, in collaboration with Salmo. This reinterpretation, the result of an artistic and personal understanding between the two, adds a modern touch to a timeless classic. The music video, shot in various international locations, helps make this collaboration even more special.

“Salmo is a phenomenon – says Zucchero – Not only for the artist he is, but as a person: intelligent, fast, frank, truthful, ironic and a great communicator. I recognize myself in him, in what he writes and thinks and I am grateful for the tributes he has dedicated to me, first with “Diavolo in Me” and now with “Overdose (D’Amore)”. Thank you, my friend”.

With this union of talents, Zucchero and Salmo have created a version of “Overdose (D’Amore)” that perfectly blends their unique styles and artistic personalities.
