FABRIANO – They went to the Police Station to explain the difficulties of… living with that quarrelsome neighbor. The two men from Fabriano had talked about that man who had always been considered a bit “difficult”, due to his singular stances relating to condominium issues: from the car parks inside the condominium area, to the access door left open in the evening hours , to the crumbs falling from the balcony to the noises caused by man due to small carpentry work carried out in one’s cellar since the very early hours of the morning. The straw that broke the camel’s back dates back to the evening before, when – believing he was in the right – he had grabbed a bicycle left temporarily along the driveway to the condominium by the son of one of the two and had thrown it into the street, damaging it, adding in a cryptic manner that sooner or later “it would end badly”, without specifying anything else.
Despite no complaint having been filed, last weekend the police independently carried out some checks on the 62-year-old Fabriano man, which resulted in him being the legitimate owner of a rifle and a box of cartridges. Further investigations then allowed them to ascertain that the man had not submitted to the Weapons Office of the Fabriano Police Station the required medical certification renewing his possession of the psychophysical requirements necessary for any type of authorization regarding weapons (this requirement is an obligation of the gun owner every 5 years). For this reason, the police proceeded with the precautionary withdrawal of the weapon, a rifle, which was then deposited at the Police Station pending the determinations of the administrative authority.
