The Palio dei Pontili warms up the engines and this year too will enliven the celebrations of the patron saint San Marone. The event, a one-of-a-kind regatta, is organized by the Madiere association with the patronage of the municipal administration and will be held on 17 and 18 August in the waters of the port of Civitanova. Seven associations will compete at sea: the Portocivitanova Sailing Club, the Italian Naval League, Medusa, Aurora, La Marina, Levante and Rosa dei venti.
The program was illustrated this morning by the sports councilor Claudio Morresi, by the president of Madiere Pierluigi Cipolla, by Cristiana Mazzaferro president of the Sailing Club, by the commander of the Port Authority Chiara Boncompagni and from Giacomo Mantovani, president beach association “Abc”.
And it is precisely the entry into play of the beach association that is the novelty of this fourth edition: 35 factories, in fact, each one will raise the flag of the association that today, during the press conference, were associated with each establishment.

On August 17th, meeting at Varco where the pairing ceremony between the athletes, selected among the best of the Club Vela and the boat will take place. After the draw, the boats will return to the Port, accompanied by the City Band and here each association will celebrate the chosen athlete.
Highlight of the event it will be August 18th, feast of the patron saint San Marone. The first qualifying regatta will start at 3pm. Then it will continue until the final. At around 6pm the awards ceremony will take place at the Varco sul mare.
