Italy, Giordano: «Zaccagni deserves more space. He is the only one with THESE characteristics”
Former player Bruno Giordano expressed his opinion on Zaccagni and the Italian national team on Radiosei. According to Giordano, Zaccagni deserves more space on the pitch, thanks to his unique characteristics which can make the difference within Spalletti’s team.
Zaccagni: A talent to be valorised
The Italian national team, led by Spalletti, recently celebrated an extraordinary goal by Zaccagni, which guaranteed the team access to the round of 16. Although the performance of the Azzurri was not entirely convincing, Giordano sees a potential protagonist in Zaccagni. “Sorry for the Croatians who conceded a goal with 10 seconds left, but we are Italians and we must celebrate Zaccagni’s fantastic goal,” said Giordano. “Italy has not yet found its ideal form, but players like Zaccagni, who have the ability to make the difference, could provide the necessary turning point. Zaccagni is the only one, other than Politano not called up, to excel in the close quarters and his goal will certainly have given him important motivation.”
Lazio’s market prospects
Giordano also spoke about Lazio’s transfer prospects, expressing his enthusiasm for some possible arrivals. “I would like Samardzic very much. He is a dynamic footballer, with the ability to make spectacular plays, good running, strong dribbling and a great foot,” said Giordano. “If Greenwood and Samardzic arrived, I would give up all the other players in attack and be satisfied with them because I see Lazio playing for the top positions. I’m not saying the top three, but fourth and fifth place would become a realistic goal.”
The player who could make the difference
Finally, Giordano expressed his admiration for Cabal. “I like Cabal, he has a good left foot, he knows the Italian championship and he also knows Baroni well. I would be very happy if he arrived at Lazio,” concluded Giordano. With these potential additions, the Roman team could aspire to top positions in the league, giving fans new hopes for the future.
