«Safety is a priority for the Rocca Council. From today the “Security in the Municipality” tender is open, with deadline 6 September, through which the Lazio Region, after four years, allocates two million euros in favor of the Local Authorities of Lazio to promote interventions aimed at encouraging the installation of video surveillance systems, prevent and combat phenomena of urban incivility and degradation, reduce the risk of exposure of specific areas to widespread and predatory crime phenomena, recover and improve the quality of public spaces.
Security represents for citizens a primary and indispensable good, for which there is a strong need, and is inextricably linked to the quality of life.
The Lazio Region is and will be alongside the mayors to strengthen the tools to fight degradation and control the territory”, he highlights Luisa Regimentscouncilor for Personnel, Urban Security, Local Police, Local Authorities and the University of the Lazio Region.
«The call sees an equitable distribution of resources between the provinces of Lazio: we wanted the Municipalities of Rome to also be able to participate, as they will find themselves facing the large flow of pilgrims for the Jubilee in 2025.
Each Municipality will have to work with the Prefecture of belonging so that the project can have the approval of the provincial Committee for public order and safety.
