Javelin throw, gold medal and 17th title for Giusi Parolino

Yet another very important goal achieved by Giusi Parolino, athlete from Agrigento of Asd Milone Siracusa, who wins the gold medal and brings home her 17th title as Italian javelin throwing champion.

For her it is the second title of Italian champion of the year 2024. The previous one won in February at the “Italico Conti” field in Ancona during the Italian Winter Long Throw Championships. Parolino thus confirms herself as a true “record-breaking athlete” who this year too, with her tenacity and consistency, has achieved many successes in Sicily and nationally in just a few months.

The last medal was won in Rome, at the end of 3 days of challenges at the Paolo Rosi stadium (also known as the Eagles stadium). Over 1400 members and more than 2400 competing athletes representing 380 clubs participated in the 44th track edition dedicated to male and female athletes over 35.

The Paolo Rosi Stadium in Acqua acetosa, (named in memory of the great Rai sports commentator, voice of Athletics for over twenty years), home to the CONI Olympic training, has always been a training destination for great Italian and foreign champions of the Athletics. The facility thus hosted a weekend of passion and competitiveness. Many new Italian records were recorded, demonstrating that the level of these competitions is also becoming increasingly higher. Also in the competition was the women’s javelin where the athlete Giusi Parolino, with a measurement of 28.87 metres, won her umpteenth gold medal.

“Thanks to coach Emanuele Serafin – said Giusi – I bring home another Italian medal and my seventeenth Italian champion title”. Giusi Parolino has decided to renounce participation in the next world championships in August 2024.
