Doctor Costanza De Franciscis won the second edition of the degree award named in memory of Giulia Baldelli, aimed at graduates of the Study Course in Primary Education Sciences of the University of Perugia who obtained their degree in the year Academic 2021-2022.
The award was established in memory of Dr. Giulia Baldelli, student of the Single Cycle Master’s Degree Course in Primary Education Sciences, who passed away prematurely in 2021, to remember the commitment, enthusiasm and tenacity in study demonstrated both as a student than as a teacher.
Dr. De Franciscis won the recognition thanks to her thesis entitled “Starting from autism: time as an inclusive opportunity at school”, discussed on 11 July 2022; speaker Professor Moira Sannipoli.
The delivery ceremony took place late in the morning today, in the Thesis Room of the Department of Philosophy, Social, Human and Educational Sciences (Fissuf) of UniPg.
Giulia’s family members attended, her father Marcello and mother Antonella, the director of the Department Professor Massimiliano Marianelli and the members of the judging commission, chaired by Professor Fabio Marcelli, Professors Giovanna Farinelli and Moira Sannipoli. Also present were Fissuf teachers, male and female students and technical-administrative staff.
Also present was Dr. Ilaria Lanterna, winner of the first edition of the award, who had the merit of having investigated the inclusive processes at school linked to boys and girls with Specific Learning Disorders.
The Baldelli family, in collaboration with the Department of Philosophy, Social, Human and Education Sciences, with this recognition aims to reward, enhance and disseminate the thesis that investigates with greater effectiveness, correctness and argumentative capacity the problems inherent to Specific Disorders of Learning.
The award ceremony constitutes a very important moment for the Course of Study in Primary Education Sciences, since it “represents recognition of the merit and quality of the study, as well as a stimulus for the students to give the best of themselves”.
