Inter wins the 2nd Benetti Trophy

Over 500 spectators crowded the stands of Campo M. Magnozzi last June 22nd in Livorno where the 2nd Benetti Trophy organized by Asd Livorno Calcio Femminile took place, created in 2023 in honor of the 150th anniversary of the company of the same name. Inter won the tournament, beating Juventus by 3 goals to 0, after an enthralling match that did not disappoint expectations. The tournament, reserved for the under 15s of the 8 professional teams, has a national significance and is recognized as the most important in Tuscany. In this edition they were competing for victory Juventus, Inter, Roma, Genoa, Spezia, Sampdoria, Lazio and Livorno. During the day, which began at 9.30 am and ended at 9 pm, the M. Magnozzi field welcomed numerous institutions and personalities from the world of football who came to admire the splendid exploits of the players and expressed great satisfaction. “It is a high-level event, perfectly organized which attracted numerous teams from the most important Italian clubs” declared the Regional Councilor Francesco Gazzetti; also present Pietro Caruso vice president of the Province and president of Pro Livorno Sorgenti: “An honor to host this incredibly organized event.” Your presence is very welcome Francesca Durante, goalkeeper of the women’s national team and of Inter was pleasantly surprised to see such a high level tournament, which invited all the players to have fun, commit themselves and always believe in what they do, so that by doing so the results will come. The creator and organizer was satisfied Alessio Ciampi, general director of Ads Livorno Calcio Femminile, who concluded the awards ceremony by stating: “The Trophy confirms itself as an important event for Italian women’s football. The objectives we set ourselves have been largely achieved; the players certainly lived a unique experience also thanks to the exceptional collaboration with L’Naval Academy of Livorno, flagship of our city and cradle of traditions and values. A special thank you to Benetti, partner of the event, for the opportunity and trust that he gives us every year! We will immediately get to work to organize the 3rd edition, even richer in content. See you in June 2025.” During the day, moments of pure sport and competition alternated with charity events with associations Fop Italia Onlus, represented by Livorno captain Andrea Luci, and the Misericordia of Antignano present to promote fundraising for the purchase of a new ambulance for the volunteers. “A heartfelt thanks – concludes Ciampi – goes to Pro Livorno 1919 Sorgenti, which for years has collaborated with Livorno Calcio Femminile which provided the structure, to the sponsors who supported, to Telegranducato for broadcasting the entire day live.
