The appointment with the “Memorial Giovanni Caressa”, dedicated to the unforgettable founder of Anffas who in 1965 founded in Salerno, one of the first and most important structures that deal with people with disabilities and their families in the province of Salerno, today led by Salvatore Parisi.
With two days on June 27th and 28thorganized by Anffas Salerno Giovanni Caressa Onlus Foundation And Anffas Salerno Onluschaired by Salvatore Parisi, is celebrated XX edition of the event, an opportunity to share moments of high inclusive value, to promote a new culture of disability, strongly linked to the individual, personalized and participatory life project.
Sport, inclusion, aggregation and lots of fun at the center of the day Thursday 27 June when to celebrate the Memorial in the memory of Giovanni Caressaa man of sport and involved in social work, organized by Anffas Salerno Onlus, the Giannantonio Figliolia municipal stadium in Baronissi will welcome from 5pm sporting activities open to all citizens.
An afternoon dedicated to football for promote the values of inclusion and friendship through sport which will see them take to the pitch to play a friendly match Campania and the Polisportiva Baronissi ASD are unsurpassed made up of disabled footballers fromAnffas, in partnership with the Baronissi For Special Football 2010, the teams of athletes with disabilities who officially participated in the FIGC Paralympic and Experimental Football championship.
A day full of games and fun Thursday 27 June at 6.30pm on the green lawn of Giannantonio Figliolia municipal stadium in Baronissidespite professional commitments, the football team also competes of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Salerno and the Salerno Calcio Medical School, a team sponsored by the Order of Surgeons and Dentists of the province of Salerno, ready to abandon scrubs and lab coats to wear sports shirts. At the end of the evening, prizes and recognition will be awarded to participants.
“Sport and active lifestyles have a value of great importance, they are extraordinary tools for promoting social inclusion and enhancing relationships, declared the President of the Anffas Salvatore Parisi Foundationunderlining how much it allows everyone, people with disabilities or not, to find ‘well-being’ within a competition”.
It will be as always Sunrise Accessible Resort in Via Litoranea 39 – Spineta di Battipaglia (SA) Friday 28 June to host the traditional celebratory event of XX edition of the “Memorial G. Caressa”, during the evening which will begin at 7.00 pm with the blessing and the Holy Mass.
The religious service will be officiated by Father Carlos Kassehinin memory of Don Giovanni Caressa, Founder of the Association who next year will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the foundation’s birth.
A special evening, to celebrate with the twentieth anniversary of the Memorial the legacy of a great man who dedicated his life to the protection of the rights of people with disabilities and retraces the history of Anffas in Salerno, awarding the Prize “Memorial G. Caressa” for the year 2024to those who have particularly distinguished themselves in the social, sport and inclusion fields, both in the public and private sectors, representing a positive example of growth and opportunities that guide and generate change.
A celebratory social dinner with family members and guests of the Anffas centres, friends, institutions and partners will conclude the evening.
