a supercomputer simulates what it would be like to enter a Black Hole [VIDEO]

One of the greatest mysteries of the universe, investigated by NASA in this impressive video: what happens to those who enter a black hole?

A black hole it is, in the universe, one of the most mysterious and incomprehensible elements. Science fiction and fiction have tried in various ways to imagine what could happen when entering it but the truth is that no one can know unless, well, trying. Clearly this is still impossible, but the tools we have at least allow us to simulate the thing.

And that’s what he did NASA, recreating a video that illustrates what would happen to anyone who hypothetically entered a black hole like the one at the center of our galaxy. The simulation was created on a supercomputer called Discovery and in just five days, where according to calculations on a normal laptop it would have taken ten years.

As we can see the simulation shows us time and space itself bend, as a mole hole distorts both of these dimensions. According to NASA, if an astronaut hypothetically entered a black hole for six hours and then came out, he would find himself 36 minutes younger than his colleagues!

This obviously without going beyond the event horizon, beyond which no one really knows what might be found or what might happen. The question is destined to remain unanswered for a long time to come, but it reminds us of how many incredible things there are in our universe and why it is always worth trying to understand them.
