Moments of fear this morning in Castelpagano due to the fire that broke out in the house where an eighty-year-old occasionally lives. The woman, surprised by the flames that suddenly broke out, did not suffer any injuries thanks to the timely intervention of the firefighters. The fire could have had a very different epilogue also considering the weather conditions characterized by sudden gusts of wind.
The dynamics of what happened still remain unclear. According to an initial reconstruction, the flames broke out in the kitchen and then spread to the rest of the house. The smoke and flames worried the neighbors, triggering the alarm and alerting emergency services. Once the elderly lady was secured outside the house, the firefighters put out the flames and put out the fire, preventing it from spreading further.
During the operations, a gas cylinder found in the kitchen compartment was also taken outside, preventing further potential dangers. At the end of the operations, inspections began, during which extensive damage was recorded to the furnishings and the rest of the house, in particular to the first level of the house, while fortunately the upper floor was almost intact.
