As of today, 20 have been reported fires that occurred in the regional territory, 3 of which are requiring the intervention of aircraft from the regional air fleet:
1 – Fire in the countryside of the Municipality of Collinas, “Nuraghe Corruardu” locality”the extinguishing of which is coordinated by the staff of the Ales Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the GAUF of Cagliari, by the staff of the Sanluri Forestry Station and by the staff arriving on board the helicopter of the CFVA base of Villasalto and the Superpuma coming from the CFVA base by Fenosu. 4 teams from the Forestas Agency are intervening,1 Ales Fire Brigade team. The event is still ongoing.
2 – Fire in the countryside of the municipality of Nuragus, locality “Sa Serra ‘E Riu”the extinguishing of which is coordinated by the staff of the Laconi Forestry Corps Station who requested the dispatch of the San Cosimo helicopter with its staff on board. In addition to the staff of the Aritzo Forestry Station, 2 are also intervening teams of volunteers from the Laconi and Sarcidano associations, 1 team from Forestas di Laconi. The fire is being cleaned up.
3– Fire in the countryside of the Municipality of Bolotana, locality “ Marco Timpanzu”the extinguishing of which is coordinated by the staff of the Forestry Corps Station of Bolotana and by the GAUF of Nuoro assisted by 1 local Forestas team and by the barracelli of Lei. Given the particularly difficult climatic conditions, the DOS requested through the SOUP – LS the sending of two light helicopters from the CFVA bases of Farcana and Anela with forestry personnel on board and of the “heavy” model AS 332 Superpuma helicopter with the GAUF of Sassari and Tempio on board. The fire is still active.
