Today, Saturday 22 June, 20 fires have been reported in the regional territory, 3 of which are requiring the intervention of aircraft from the regional air fleet.
This is a fire in the Municipality of Collinas, in the “Nuraghe Corruardu” area, whose extinguishment is coordinated by the staff of the Ales Forestry Corps Station, assisted by the GAUF of Cagliari, by the staff of the Sanluri Forestry Station and by the staff who arrived at on board the helicopter from the CFVA base of Villasalto and the Superpuma coming from the CFVA base of Fenosu. 4 teams from the Forestas Agency and 1 team from the Ales Fire Brigade are intervening. The event is still ongoing.
Another fire broke out in the municipality of Nuragus, in the locality of “Sa Serra ‘E Riu”, whose extinguishment was coordinated by the staff of the Laconi Forestry Corps Station who requested the dispatch of the San Cosimo helicopter with the own staff. In addition to the staff of the Aritzo Forestry Station, 2 teams of volunteers from the Laconi and Sarcidano associations and 1 team from Forestas di Laconi are also intervening. The fire is being cleaned up.
The other fire in the Municipality of Bolotana, in the “Marco Timpanzu” area, whose extinguishment was coordinated by the staff of the Bolotana Forestry Corps Station and by the GAUF of Nuoro assisted by 1 local Forestas team and by the barracelli of Lei. The DOS given the particularly difficult climatic conditions, he requested through SOUP – LS the sending of two light helicopters from the CFVA bases of Farcana and Anela with forestry personnel on board and the “heavy” helicopter model AS 332 Superpuma with the GAUF on board of Sassari and Tempio. The fire is still active.
