The sequel to Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tin Tin is the stuff of mythology, but in the last few hours important updates have emerged for what could be Spielberg’s next film Peter Jackson.
Last month, as you know, Peter Jackson was announced as producer of The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollumwhich means that he will not be the director of the film, which will be signed by the actor and director Andy Serkis: to date, with the exception of documentaries, the last film directed by Peter Jackson as director is still The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armiesreleased exactly ten years ago in 2014.
However we know his next job it could just be The Adventures of Tin Tin 2: this was hinted by Andy Serkis himself, who will return to the role of Captain Haddock in the sequel, and who has just provided us with a promising update on the sequel which has been in development for many years. French journalist Alexandre Loos met the actor at the Annecy film festival and the star told him that “Peter Jackson is definitely still working on it“. A sentence that doesn’t reveal much, but which puts to rest all the rumors according to which the film had been definitively cancelled.
Recall that the last time Peter Jackson talked about Tin Tin 2 was 2018: as you know, Steven Spielberg directed the original film with Jackson producing, and the plan is to make a sequel produced by Spielberg and directed by Peter Jackson.
