A few minutes before the start of the third and final free practice session valid for the 2024 Spanish GP, a fire broke out inside the Formula 1 paddock which originated inside the Hospitality of the McLaren team. Below we provide you with all the details.
What happened in the Barcelona paddock
As reported by Mara St. George to the microphones of Sky Sports F1 Italya few minutes from the green light, a small fire of character “electric” it exploded inside of the kitchen in the McLaren motor home. The premises were promptly evacuated and emergency services began to provide their service, including the firefighters who are still working to put out the flames.
