CARBONERA (TREVISO) – He was the victim of a road accident while he was taking a motorbike ride in Austria together with a group of friends. He left like that Valter Merlo, 68 year old from Pezzan di Carbonera, originally from Breda. Before retirement he had worked as a maintenance and body shop worker in the workshops of Momthe Treviso bus and coach company.
Until Monday everything had gone well. On Tuesday, however, there was the fatal collision. The dynamics of the accident are not yet clear. From what we learn, however, the 68-year-old would have lost control of the motorbike and crashed violently into a vehicle coming in the opposite direction. And unfortunately there was nothing that could be done. Valter Merlo leaves behind his wife Donatella and daughter Erika, hairdresser and owner of the Rock ‘n’ Style salon in via Primo Maggio in Carbonera, and two brothers, Sandro and Ivan. The family is now completing the necessary documentation for the return of the body to Italy. The funeral will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, at 3.30 pm in the parish church of Pezzan di Carbonera. The family asks everyone not to bring flowers but to possibly make donations to Ail and Advar, the Italian association against leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and the Treviso association that follows people affected by cancer.
