There are “special” kids. There are also “special” dreams. There are also “special” travel companions. The caravan ofJupiter association it left from Civita di Bagnoreggio, in the Viterbo area: destination North Cape. With a special escort: two agents and a medical director of the State Police, trained to operate in extreme environments, on board a Lamborghini Urus. First stop on the journey to the Don Calabria opera, in Verona, for a hug with Don Antonio Mazzi. Then headed north, for thousands of kilometers.
There was a request from the boys, addressed to the president of Jupiter, Salvatore Regoli: «Take us to the North Cape». The obvious answer was: Of course.” The “how” remained to be seen. Because bringing five disabled kids, and as many talents in music, sport and communication, plus educators, a psychologist and 11 drivers from the Italian Autieri Association was not, on paper, an easy task.

But the caravan it started, thanks to a lot of support, from the ministries of Sport, Foreign Affairs, Coni, and associations such as Don Antonio Mazzi’s Exodus. And with the precious contribution of the State Police, once again brought into the field by the general director of Public Security, Vittorio Pisani. And they will be on the field for real, with a truly particular means and skills.
“Destination North Cape» is on the way to transform a dream into an achieved goal. «We will unite Europe with our special children and adolescents, symbols of fragility and beauty», says the president of Jupiter, Salvatore Regoli. «Education is at the centre, together with trust and optimism in the relationship with young people». There aren’t many who can say they were escorted by officers in a Lamborghini.
