While investigations continue to shed light on the Audace case, the new deputy mayor of the Corbatto council with delegation to the investee companies, Greta Reverdito took steps to formalize the request for a meeting with the president of Apt Caterina Belletti and with theregional councilor for Infrastructure Cristina Amirante.
«We are obviously concerned about the current situation of sea route Grado – Trieste following the motor vessel accident Bold – explains Reverdito – on our part there is maximum availability to find solutions in the shortest possible time. It is essential to underline that Grado is an important tourist location for the whole of Friuli Venezia Giulia, for this reason we expect that at a regional level we will also take action immediately to find an alternative boat that is safe and suitable for our city”.
«Reading that Apt’s proposal is to replace the motor vessel Audace with Adriatica, given the precedents, does not convince us in the slightest – warns the deputy mayor – I hope that Amirante also shares our opinion, given his statements regarding Adriatica”. Now, the Region will have to evaluate whether the proposal falls within the terms of the contract and whether there are other offers to take into consideration.
«There is no need to remember that last week we came close to a real tragedy – concludes Reverdito – for this reason as an administration we demand a suitable and safe alternative: we hope and believe it is appropriate in this regard that the Municipality of Grado is involved in the decision”.
