This is what the judge for preliminary investigations of the Juvenile Court of L’Aquila, Roberto Ferrari, writes in the provision validating the arrest of the two 16-year-olds held responsible for the murder of Thomas Christopher Luciani which occurred in Pescara last Sunday in the Baden Powell park.

The precautionary needs must be considered to exist – we read – taking into account the seriousness of the murder, which it manifests an extremely violent inclination of the suspectsfar exceeding the motive behind the attack, so that it must be considered that the collection of the debt only activated the criminal impulsethen severing any further connection with the objective of meeting the debtor”.

“Even the execution of the crime – continues the judge – confirms the absolute prevalence of the homicidal impulse on stimuli connected with the aim of profit or with the punishment of non-compliance. To these objectives pertinent to the apparent motive, moreover, it seems that “one of the two boys, i.e. the son of the carabiniere, “was a stranger: his participation in the stabbing is also ineffectivesince the situation at the time of his intervention clearly showed the full ability of the person concerned to complete the work without the contribution of others”.
