The winners of the ADI 2024 Compasso d’Oro will be awarded at the ADI Design Museum on 20 June, on the seventieth anniversary of the award. Together with them the winners of the Compasso d’Oro Lifetime Achievement Award and the products to which the jury awarded the Honorable Mention.

An exhibition will present a selection of the products participating in the 2024 edition, in an exhibition that can be visited until September 15th.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live as usual streaming on this page, on ADI’s FaceBook, Linkedin and YouTube pages.

This year’s edition aims, as always, to enhance the idea of quality of the projects that has always distinguished the major award in Italian design: in seventy years of history, just over 370 awards have been awarded. A quality that has changed over the decades, following the evolution of culture and society, but which remains the point of reference of the award: “A story that starts from afar but which, in a sort of long present, has maintained coherence and ability to develop proactive relationships to build an idea of civil community”, underlines the president of ADI Luciano Galimberti.

This year’s winners will also become part of the ADI Compasso d’Oro Collection, permanently exhibited at the ADI Design Museum. “The heritage of objects and documents that the museum preserves,” he explains Umberto Cabini, president of the ADI Foundation, “has a characteristic that other museums do not have: it is not simply a collection of industrial products, but is the indelible trace of the metamorphoses of quality, from the 1950s to today”. “The Compasso d’Oro has increasingly taken on an institutional value,” concludes Galimberti, “candiding our best design in the world to a role of cultural rather than aesthetic reference, affirming the idea that Italian design is not an activity limited to the definition of forms, but above all dedicated to building deep relationships.”

The XXVIII Compasso d’Oro takes place with the patronage and thanks to the contribution of the Lombardy Region.
