On Saturday 22 June the XXXVI edition of the Golden Orange returns to the square of the Mother Church! The event is promoted by the parish of Sant’Antonio Abate – Mother Church and choir of the Golden Orange.
The Golden Orange
An event that is in the hearts and memories of all of us Francophones, the Golden Orange returns again this year with a load of songs and joy. It is an unmissable event that continues year after year, receiving applause from Francophones and others who come to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele to witness a joyful spectacle. The small choir of the Golden Orange is a musical reality of the Parish of Sant’Antonio Abate (Mother Church) in Francofonte. During the year, the choir promotes events such as the Christmas concert and the “Golden Orange” children’s singing festival. This year we will see 22 small but exceptional soloists perform in the churchyard.
The Golden Orange, the presenters
The evening will be presented by the duo composed of Alfio La Rosa and Luca Fazzino. The exceptional comedian duo will add fun to the Golden Orange singing event. Alfio and Luca, with their skill and great professionalism, will bring a load of panache to the churchyard.
A journey made of meetings, celebration, friendship, music and fun
“For us, the Golden Orange is not an event that lasts one evening but a journey made up of meetings, celebrations, friendship, music, fun…”, wrote the organizers of the event on the official profile of the page . “We began the journey towards the 36th edition already in November last year with the auditions for the selection of soloists. Then from January every Saturday, with perseverance, rehearsals together with the choir made up of more than 50 kids. Because even before the 22 songs in the competition it is important for us that each boy experiences the beauty of his own talent shared with the other boys, shared with everyone”, they concluded.
The jury of the 36th edition of the Golden Orange
In recent days, the members of the jury were announced on the event’s official Facebook profile. The jury of the 36th edition of the “GOLDEN ORANGE” will be chaired by Silvana Fallesi.
“Silvana Fallisi needs no introduction, she is a very well-known face in Italian cinema who immediately captures attention due to her unquestionable friendliness and skill. Who among us doesn’t remember her in the films that feature her together with Aldo, Giovanni and Giacomo? “Ask me if I’m happy”, “Do you know Claudia?”, “The cosmos on the dresser”, “The gang of Santa Clauses”, “Ammutta muddica at the cinema”, “Escape from Reuma Park”. Just a few hints of a much richer biography… Her presence will be a joyful contribution to our evening of celebration. Thanks to Silvana, we can’t wait,” the organizers wrote.
The “Pisana bomber” will also be on the jury of the 36th edition of the Golden Orange.
“We are pleased to be able to count on his knowledge of the world of music and his love for every event that pursues the noble objective of meeting and the joy that derives from it. And the Golden Orange is a celebration precisely because we meet, have fun, thanks to the kids and for the kids. Maestro Francesco Di Grazia, lover, connoisseur and connoisseur of music, will also be part of the jury.
