STORNARA – The Spelonga Cellars of Stornara conquered all the international judges of the Brussels World Competition, which this year chose Mexico as the location for the tastings. Marilina Nappi’s wines have in fact brought home the highest recognition awarded during the tastings, the Grand Gold Medal, awarded to the Primitivo. For this family-run winery in the lower Tavoliere area, the recognition represents added value and rewards the countless efforts to maintain an excellent standard in every vintage.

The Grand Gold Medal is a highly coveted recognition, as it represents the highest score for a wine. The Spelonga Cellars have been dedicating care and particular attention to the production of indigenous wines of the area for over 20 years, and in recent months they have also broadened the scope to attention to detail. The new labels have recently been put on the market, with a unique, elegant design, with a strong connection to the territory and the history of the company. The Stornara winery also achieved a second great success, represented by the Silver Medal for the new arrival in the Spelonga house, the Tyron, a pure Nero di Troia, an undisputed symbol of the power and elegance of one of the main grape varieties of Puglia .
