Silver For The new arrived Tyron, Black Of Troy

STORNARA – The Spelonga Cellars of Stornara conquered all the international judges of the Brussels World Competition, which this year chose Mexico as the location for the tastings. Marilina Nappi’s wines have in fact brought home the highest recognition awarded during the tastings, the Grand Gold Medal, awarded to the Primitivo. For this family-run winery in the lower Tavoliere area, the recognition represents added value and rewards the countless efforts to maintain an excellent standard in every vintage.

“Each of our wines is the result of heart and passion – said Marilina Nappi, production manager of the winery – and it is fantastic to be able to enclose feelings and emotions in a bottle and be able to transmit them to anyone who uncorks it. We have always believed – continues the young entrepreneur – in the quality of the products of our land. Puglia, and Daunia in this case, are rich in very high quality raw materials, it is up to us to bring out the best and promote it throughout the world. It’s team work, family work, everyone does their part, and all together we can get far. I dedicate this award to the entire winery team and to all the winemakers who fight with love every year to preserve and improve the quality of our grapes.”

THE PRICES

The Grand Gold Medal is a highly coveted recognition, as it represents the highest score for a wine. The Spelonga Cellars have been dedicating care and particular attention to the production of indigenous wines of the area for over 20 years, and in recent months they have also broadened the scope to attention to detail. The new labels have recently been put on the market, with a unique, elegant design, with a strong connection to the territory and the history of the company. The Stornara winery also achieved a second great success, represented by the Silver Medal for the new arrival in the Spelonga house, the Tyron, a pure Nero di Troia, an undisputed symbol of the power and elegance of one of the main grape varieties of Puglia .
