Romulea continues its undefeated path, earning access to the semi-final with a 3-1 comeback victory over Spes Montesacro. Two teams with a similar lineup. Both, in fact, choose the three-man setup and then add a man in the non-possession phase. Initially, the Amarantoros managed possession without finding the right play. The central streets are clogged so very often we opt for a development on the right where Pietrocarlo and Claudio Moauro are unable to distinguish themselves. Spes takes courage by continuing to gain meters and above all angles. One of these gave rise to Fratini’s opening goal in the 9th minute, who was very good at taking advantage of the lack of marking at the far post. The conceded goal breaks down the morale of the Via Farsalo boys who lose their bearings for the central phase of the first half. Then in the 40th minute the spark arrives. Mele escapes centrally and once he reaches the area, he falls following an alleged contact. From the spot Invernali chooses the power with Crocetti who touches the ball without managing to avoid the equalizer. Sensing that it has suffered an injustice, the Spes then rushes forward, but the rush proves fatal. The first half is far from over because Spes doesn’t give up an inch and creates a sensational double opportunity with Rossi. Meletti and Mele save the situation with two prodigious interventions. Juventus’ disappointment increased when in full injury time Paternò hit the crossbar after recovering the ball on the edge of the Amarantoro area. In the second half, Spes continued to grind out the game, also building some interesting opportunities, one above all Legler’s close-range header saved by Meletti. On the other side, Romulea plays from a throw-in, wasting a counterattack with Perilli who then closes the score in the 43rd minute by scoring from two steps away.
