It has many distinctive features, starting from a personal and out-of-the-box design, in some ways revolutionary, which makes it stand out within the group. Accompanying a tasty product are the many engines (petrol, hybrid and electric), a high level of space on board – even up to 7 seats – and an impressive price.
CITROEN C3 AIRCROSS, DESIGN OUT OF THE COURT
The newborn Citroen C3 Aircross adopts a stylistic language similar to that of the Citroen C3 which debuted in recent times. Therefore, compared to the recently retired version, a clear cut has been given to the rounded geometries to marry a sharper silhouette. This lively character is also sincerely perceived thanks to the high and horizontal bonnet, the fenders and the wider tracks. The new Citroen logo appears in the front section, combining perfectly with the three-segment light signature.
Despite one length of 4.39 meters, the Citroen C3 Aircross can be available as a five-seater, or in the more versatile seven-seater, without affecting its external dimensions which remain the same. The most impressive figure is the wheelbase: 2.67 metres, the best in the category. For the benefit of the occupants, who can benefit from excellent comfort, even for those sitting in the third row. THE ENGINES OF THE NEW CITROEN C3 AIRCROSS
The new Citroen C3 Aircross is built on multi energy platform of Stellantis named Smart Cars, a factor that allows it to be extremely versatile also in terms of engines. The B-SUV, in fact, can rely on petrol, hybrid and 100% electric units, to meet all the needs of a frenetic market which requires different predispositions depending on the geographical areas. The first new feature under the hood is the Hybridmade up of the Puretech 1.2 litre, 3 cylinder, with a power of 100 kW/136 hp and from a 21 kW/28 HP electric motor powered by one 48V lithium battery located under the floor. The transmission, however, is the electrified dual-clutch automatic e-CDT.
That’s not all because the C3 Aircross is the first Double Chevron SUV also offered in a 100% electric configuration. This is powered by a 83 kW/113 hp engine combined with an LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery from 44 kWh. L’autonomy is 300 kilometers, but a version with an increased battery for 400 kilometers of guaranteed travel will arrive in 2025. As far as charging is concerned, C3 Aircross behaves like this:
- Standard AC from 20% to 80% battery takes approximately 4 hours and 10 minutes using 7 kW of power;
- Standard AC charging from 20% to 80% battery takes approximately 2 hours and 50 minutes using 11 kW of power;
- 100 kW DC charging takes only 26 minutes to go from 20% to 80% charge.
Completing the engine range is the 75 kW/100 HP Puretech turbo petrol, combined with a six-speed manual transmission, which complies with Euro 7 standards.
CITROEN C3 AIRCROSS, FOCUS ON COMFORT
The Citroen C3 Aircross was designed to have high on-board comfort, as demonstrated by the adoption of Advanced Comfort suspensionstandard on all versions, and dei Advanced Comfort seats. The latter are equipped with a new surface with 10-15 mm of extra foam, to guarantee rides like on a flying carpet. The entire interior speaks a refined language, thanks to the attention to materials and the polite atmosphere that reigns there. Obviously, technology is not absent, in fact essential driving information is projected onto a head-up display, while the infotainment can be used from the 10.25” touch screen in the center of the dashboard and oriented slightly towards the driver. A wireless WiFi function allows for smartphone mirroring and compatibility with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
THE PRICES OF THE NEW CITROEN C3 AIRCROSS
The price list of the new Citroen C3 Aircross it starts from 18,790 euros for the YOU petrol version, while for the 100% electric version it is necessary to write a check of less than 30,000 euros.
