Last night was a sold-out start for the 25th edition of Summer Meetings in the Library, in Ronchi dei Legionari. The start of the summer cultural festival was marked by the awarding of the Culture Award to the singer Elisa. The format of the Ronchese summer season is proposed as consolidated, but solid and long-lasting and capable of renewing itself over time. To inaugurate the rich calendar of events was the grand opening concert organized by the Giuseppe Verdi Philharmonic Society, directed by teacher Fulvia Antoniali. Also present president David Cusimano.
Before all this and the delivery of the City Seal attributed to the singer from Monfalcone, the Ottava Nota Youth Band led by Antoniali and the mixed choir of the primary schools from Feltre and Brumati directed – once again, by Antoniali – with the help of teacher Anita Persoglia. «Over time – explains theculture councilor, Monica Carta – the event contributed to bringing new spaces of sociality and artistic vitality to the city center and some districts, enhancing with quality content the desire for cultural growth, values and aggregation of our fellow citizens”. Tonight, Wednesday 19 June, in Piazza della Concordia Andrea Bellavite and Boris Peric will discuss “Gorizia and Nova Gorica: two cities in one”.
Friday 21 June, day of Music Festival, the event moves to the church of Santa Domenica in Selz with “Arpeggio beyond time”, a concert by the harpist and artist from Monfalcone, Anna Pilleroni. On June 24th there will be space for opera and operetta music. On June 25th, there will be the “Almakàntica” concert in collaboration with Folkest. Angelo Floramo, on the other hand, will be the guest on June 26th with “Brief sentimental history of the Balkans”. On June 28, Ronchi will host the Verdi Civic Orchestra of Trieste which will perform “Disney Emotions”. There is much more on the program – until July 18, the last day of shows.

The partners of the event are the Kulturni Dom of GoriziaL’Vivaldi Music InstituteL’International operetta association Fvg, FolkestL’Bisian cultural association and theLoyal News association. «For twenty-five years, this festival has been a beacon of creativity and inspiration, a moment in which artists of all kinds come together to share their talent and enrich our community. This important achievement is the result of the tireless work and passion of many people whom I thank from the bottom of my heart” said the mayor Mauro Benvenuto.
