Very bad accident for Gordon Ramsay: “the helmet saved my life”

Hwith his hands and voice visibly shaking, the super celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, telling his audience about the terrible accident he was involved in a few days ago. A bicycle accident which, the chef says with sincere fear, could have seriously cost him his life. And it’s not hard to believe when you look the terrible bruises covering Gordon Ramsay’s entire chest: a huge purple hematoma that the superstar chef of Hell’s Kitchen shows for the camera, slowly lifting his chef’s jacket.

The chef talks with great seriousness about an experience – about which he does not give more details, in terms of the dynamics of the accident – which seems to have been extremely dangerous, and which seems to have taught him a lot regarding the prevention of accidents when bicycle: wearing a helmet, in fact, seems to have truly saved the life of the most famous and most social chef in the world (as he himself tends to reiterate with strength and conviction, inviting his followers to never let their guard down in this sense), but the point is that, in fact, it can make a difference for any cyclist, as Ramsay insists, evidently strongly affected by what happened to him.

The Gordon Ramsay incident, told by the chef

“You know how much I love cycling, triathlons, Ironman races, and this week, unfortunately, I had a bad accident that really shook me up and honestly I’m lucky to be here,” he began chef Gordon Ramsay recounting his terrible experience, which occurred in Connecticut, speaking heart-to-heart to his followers in a video then posted on Instagram. A bad fall (very bad, judging by the obvious injuries reported) which could have cost him much more dearly if the chef had not worn a protective helmet while on his bicycle. And this is precisely the message the chef wants to send, hoping to raise awareness of road safety among his entire audience.

“I want to wish you all a Happy Father’s Day, but please, please, please wear a helmet. If I hadn’t done that, honestly, I wouldn’t be here now,” says Gordon Ramsay, wishing English fathers a happy birthdaywhich in the United Kingdom, as well as in the United States, falls on the third Sunday of June, which this year is June 16th (as is also known for the very sweet Royals greetings, passed this year through a beautiful family photo portraying The Prince William with his back close to his three children, George, Charlotte and Louis).

It is no coincidence that Gordon Ramsay’s message arrives on Father’s Day: him, as a father of five children (plus a sixth who would have arrived if it hadn’t been for a miscarriage), particularly feels the issue of parenthood, even when it comes to “acquired” children, like the Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty, partner of daughter Hollyto whom Ramsay was a second father.
