Second edition of the National Award “Golden Turnip“, a special event promoted by the Italian Referees Association (AIA) Rieti section. This initiative aims to recognize and reward excellence in the world of arbitration. This year’s ceremony was held on June 14th at the splendid location of the Regina restaurant.
President Vittorio Sperati, together with the Sectional Board of Directors (CDS), has carefully planned this edition, celebrating the best referees and observers in the region.
During the evening, the following prizes were awarded:
– **National Rapa d’Oro Award**: Matteo Marchetti (CAN A)
– **Rieti Section Award**: Giannandrea Aguzzi (Arbitration Assistant CRA Lazio)
– **Best CRA Lazio Award**: Giannandrea Aguzzi
– **Best Effective Referee Award KJV**: Azem Civic
– **SGS Best Effective Referee Award**: Tommaso Troiani
– **Best Futsal Referee Award**: Riccardo Bejan
– **Best Referee Observer Award**: Giorgio Pozzi
– **Best Female Referee Award**: Allan Marwa
This event is not only an opportunity to celebrate excellence, but also a moment to strengthen bonds within the refereeing community, recognizing the hard work and dedication of these professionals.
The inaugural edition of the award saw referee Daniele Doveri as the first prize winner, an example of great professionalism and competence in the refereeing field. This year, the success of the event confirmed the importance of this recognition, which it is hoped will become a lasting tradition in the Italian arbitration scene.
