Cesena, 16 June 2024 – How much does it cost vacation this year? Practically all families who wish to spend this summer ask themselves this question holidays at the seasidealso by virtue of the fact that, for two years now, it has practically remained increasing All.

Leandro Pasinipresident of Adac Federalberghithe association to which over 200 of the approximately 300 accommodation facilities of Cesenaticoconsiders the increases a physiological and natural fact according to the changes in the market: “On average the increase is 7-8 percent, with some cases of 10 percent in high season, therefore those who stayed with 60 euros each in a hotel at low prices they will pay 65, while those who spent 90 in high season or in higher-end facilities will spend 100 euros per day. I and most of my colleagues are convinced of the need to raise tariffs, because it is part of the dynamics of things. The prices we applied were missing 20-30 euros per person per day, because raw materials cost much more, for example we even pay 4 euros more per pack for oil; furthermore, if we want to please the staff with higher salaries, this is also an item that has a significant impact on management costs, so we must make it a point to gradually adjust the rates”.

Price increase

Fabrizio Albertinipresident of Asshotel Confesercenti Emilia-Romagna and well-known hotelier from Valverde, sees an increasingly fluid market: “Indicatively, room increases are within the range of 5 to 10 percent, but not in all periods. In the low season many prices have remained the same as in previous years or special offers are offered. In high season with a lower availability of free rooms, it will be easy to see greater increases. Eventually the average will settle at around 5 percent. We are in a situation where tariffs are not blocked and follow market dynamics. For example, at the beginning of June, between the schools still open, the elections and the unstable weather, there was little demand and prices were low, then at the end of June there will be more bookings and prices will be higher”.

The rents

There Romagna Riviera it is also renowned for renting seaside apartments, which are requested by many families in central and northern Italy, but also by people from Romagna inland eager to spend weeks on the beach without giving up the freedom that private accommodation can give. Giorgio Zenobi of the Solaria agency essentially applies the same prices as last season: “In our sector there have been slight tweaks, on figures close to last year’s prices; the market is doing quite well, but it won’t be a summer at the levels of the last two. Especially at the beginning of the season it is not fully booked, but it is a widespread phenomenon throughout the Emilia-Romagna coast, from the Ferrara beaches to the border with the Marche coast, where everywhere the month of June is a bit slow.

Rates

Regarding the rates; a family in an apartment with 4 beds spends 600 euros for a week in June, while in a three-room apartment they spend 700 euros; in July for the same types they go from 850-900 to 1,000-1,100 euros, while in August the prices are slightly higher, with a wide range that depends on the size, the location and the quality of the interiors, the availability or otherwise of the terraces and the gardens”.

Carlo Battistini of the Mizar agency aims to contain prices: “Compared to last year we have not made increases, because we had already implemented them in the last season; indicatively, most owners did not increase and those few who did remained at 5 percent”.

With Battistini we instead saw the prices for a month’s rent: “A two-room apartment with 3 or 4 beds in the center of Cesenatico costs on average 1,250 euros in June, 2,150 in July and 2,350 euros in August; for the three-room apartment with 5-6 beds, in the center the rent costs 1,500 euros in June, 2,800 in July and 3,000 euros in August. In Valverde prices are more reasonable, with a two-room apartment costing 800 in June, 1,600 in July and 1,900 in August; while for a three-room apartment on average you spend 1,000 euros in June, 2,200 in July and 2,600 euros in August”.
