Success also among the young students at the Kim and Liu’ national tournament
Celano – Luigi Fegatilli Italian Champion 2024, the athlete from the Celano Taekwondo Center also wins the gold medal in the Italian Cup held on 2 and 3 June. Francesco Scamolla placed second in the senior category. The President of the Celano Taekwondo Center company, Costanzo Cotturone expresses his full satisfaction, the Italian Regional Team Cup is a competition that concludes the national sporting year, Luigi Fegatilli and Francesco Scamolla kept the colors of Abruzzo high by winning a gold and a silver. The Celano Taekwondo Center, a team trained by masters Ennio and Calvino Cotturone, has always provided high-level athletes to the Regional team for years and this year too they confirm that they have prepared and successful athletes. Luigi Fegatilli has received the call up to the national team at the Giulio Onesti Olympic complex in Acqua Acetosa and will train with the Azzurri athletes who will take part in the Paris Olympics in August.
Excellent result also for Francesco Scamolla who confirms that he is a valid athlete on the national scene, 17 years old second at the Italian senior 18/35 Championships and Silver medal at the Italian Cup on 2/3 June. The results confirm the solidity of the Cotturone team which continues to achieve success even among the smallest, with excellent results at the Kim e Liù on 31st May and 1st June. Gold for Erminio Rossi, Silver for Alessia Pecce, Beatrice Marcanio, Roberto Ferroni and Giacomo Pacchiarotta, fourth place for Alex Talpan and Costanzo Cotturone who, after winning 2 matches, stopped reaching the semi-finals. The successes achieved this year by the little ones confirm that behind the champions called up to the national team, says Calvino Cotturone, there are others who will follow to continue the successes of 34 years of history of the Celano Taekwondo Center company.
